The first ever WFBT Dance Festival was held at The Forum on 12th Aprile 2025 from 10 AM – 1 PM.
This past weekend, Wichita Falls was treated to a spectacular celebration of movement and art at the Wichita Falls Ballet Theatre! 💃🩰
The event featured a vibrant mix of performances by both talented young dancers and seasoned veterans. From classical ballet pieces to modern interpretations and cultural showcases—including a mesmerizing belly dance performance—the stage came alive with passion and grace.
The evening brought together various dance companies and styles in a beautiful kermesse that celebrated diversity, talent, and community spirit. The audience responded with heartfelt applause and genuine emotion, making it clear: this event was a true success.
Thank you to all the performers, organizers, and the amazing Wichita Falls community for embracing the arts with such enthusiasm. Here’s to many more nights that move the soul!

One of the most unforgettable moments of the evening came from the powerful performance by Mona Kafelebasi and her talented students from her belly dance school.
In just five electrifying minutes, the stage was transformed into a celebration of rhythm, movement, and emotion. The performance featured a seamless blend of well-prepared group choreographies and explosive solo moments by Mona herself, who captivated the entire Forum audience with her magnetic presence and stunning technique.
The show was met with a standing ovation, as Mona and her dancers took the audience on an immersive journey into the world of belly dance—where pulsating Middle Eastern melodies met the bold energy of tribal fusion.
It was more than a performance; it was a cultural experience that left everyone in awe. Bravo to Mona and her students for bringing the magic of belly dance to life with such passion and artistry!
